Opticon New York
New York
One day, Optimizely's own show. Worth it if experimentation is your problem this year.
Which marketing conferences are worth a senior marketer's time.
New York
One day, Optimizely's own show. Worth it if experimentation is your problem this year.
Boston
Klaviyo's own customer conference. Useful if you run on Klaviyo, thin if you do not.
Brooklyn
Invite only, DTC founders and operators, built almost entirely around scheduled meetings. Exactly the kind of closed room nobody else lists.
New York
Broad innovation programming rather than a marketing conference. Good for the speaker list, less good for peers in your exact job.
Atlanta
Adweek's own conference, and a different company from Advertising Week. Brand side rather than agency side.
San Francisco
Enormous and vendor run. On here because a lot of martech budget gets decided in that week, not because it is a marketing event.
Aspen
Private event, and you apply rather than buy a ticket. Chatham House Rule this year, which tells you what the room is for.
Boston
This is INBOUND renamed. Sold out for 2026 as of late August, so the 2027 list is the realistic move.
Las Vegas
The grocery and CPG side of the Shoptalk machine. Go for the retailer meetings, not the keynotes.
Cologne
The European digital marketing trade show. Two dense days, and the halls are the point.
London
Analyst led and B2B only. The North America edition is in spring, so this is the one left in 2026.
Nashville
Smaller than the Vegas edition, which is the reason to pick it. Easier to get thirty minutes with someone who matters.
New York
The whole week is the event, spread across the city. ADWEEK House runs the same days as a separate thing by a different company, so check which one your invite is for.
Denver
Conference on the fifth and sixth, workshops on the seventh. Practitioner heavy.
New York
One day, closed list, run by the same people as The Lead Summit. Built around the attendee list rather than the stage.
Cleveland
The AI in marketing conference that existed before every conference became an AI conference.
London
One day in London, brand side, run by Marketing Week. Cheap in time relative to what it covers.
Las Vegas
Fintech rather than marketing. Here because payments and commerce keep turning into marketing problems.
Orlando
If a US CMO goes to one thing in the autumn it is usually this. Members first, and ANA does not publish a venue on its calendar.
Boston
Two conference days plus a workshop day. Smaller and more practical than the big B2B events.
Mexico City
The Latin America edition. Worth it if you have regional operations, skippable if you do not.
Lisbon
General tech at enormous scale. Brand marketers do go, but you will spend the week walking.
Miami Beach
Creative tooling rather than marketing strategy. Adobe's own pages disagree on the year label, so check the date before booking.
Los Angeles
One day, marketers and retailers and platforms in the same room. Small enough to be useful.
London
One day, invitation only, free to qualified attendees. The only senior marketing gathering anywhere on the calendar in December. Sponsor underwritten, so expect some of the room to be vendor conversations.
Deer Valley
Four days at a ski resort in December with a small invited group. The format is the point.
Las Vegas
Not a marketing conference, but a large share of the year's media and agency conversations start here anyway.
New York
The retail industry's January reset. Not a marketing conference, but every retail CMO is in the building.
San Antonio
Where the digital advertising industry frames its measurement and policy fights for the year. Complimentary passes are offered to qualified brand marketers, so the cost of entry is travel. Media heavy rather than full funnel.
Abu Dhabi
Luxury retail only, and a long flight. Narrow by design, which is either the whole value or the reason to skip it.
Carlsbad
The largest dedicated B2B marketing event in the US. The leadership track is real but a lot of the agenda is practitioner demand gen and ABM craft. Moved from Scottsdale, where it ran for years.
Barcelona
Not a marketing conference, and listed here with that said plainly. Enormous, and the brand and advertising presence keeps growing, but three days here is only worth it with a telco, device or connected experience stake.
New York
One of a city by city series CMO Alliance runs. Single day, so the cost is a day rather than a week.
Austin
Enormous, and hard to justify without a specific reason to be there. Dates here are the Conference and Festivals block, not the full run including SXSW EDU, which starts March 13.
Las Vegas
A vendor conference that operates at industry scale. Distinct from Adobe MAX, which is for creative practitioners; this one is marketing and customer experience leadership. The hero dates cover a March 22 preconference, with the main programme March 23 to 25.
Las Vegas
The big one. If your team goes to exactly one retail event a year, it is usually this.
Miami Beach
Organizer has this under save-the-date wording rather than a published programme, so treat April as provisional until they firm it up.
London
The global advertiser trade body's own week, and by the organizer's count 90 percent client side. The agenda is the governance conversation, media transparency and measurement standards, rather than tactics. If you pick three a year this one defends itself.
Phoenix
The flagship analyst event for B2B go to market, and much larger than the EMEA forum also on this calendar. You are pressure testing strategy against research rather than sitting through vendor pitches.
Hamburg
The largest digital marketing event in Europe by a distance. The conference stages carry real leadership programming, but it is a loud sprawling festival and part of the language mix is German. Matters if the brand has any DACH exposure.
San Diego
The ANA's brand building conference. Client side members attend at no cost, which keeps the room brand heavy rather than agency heavy. More focused on brand strategy and case work than Masters of Marketing.
New York
Fashion and consumer retail. The curated attendee list is the product being sold.
Chicago
The more senior of the two B2B options in this window. If you are choosing one, this is the leadership room and B2B Marketing Exchange is the practitioner one.
London
A separate event from Austin, with its own organizer and a European audience. Worth the time for culture and brand positioning rather than marketing operations. Collides with ANA Masters of B2B and sits next to the Gartner London symposium.
London
The EMEA analyst event with a pure marketing agenda. Two days, research led, and the peer group is other sitting CMOs rather than their teams.
Amsterdam
One day, invitation only, and the only Benelux entry on this calendar. Same format and same caveat as the London and New York editions.
Barcelona
Worth the trip if you have European operations. Largely a repeat of Vegas if you do not.
Phoenix
Where a lot of 2027 marketing technology budget gets rationalised. Worth rechecking nearer the time: the organizer's own URL slug reads October while the page body and their conference index both say June.
Denver
Gartner's flagship North American marketing event, and the most defensible three days on this list for a US CMO. Research led sessions and one to one analyst time, with a peer group of actual marketing chiefs.
New York
Practitioner heavy and light on vendor theater. Venue changed to North Javits for 2027, so old listings elsewhere are wrong on both date and place.
Cannes
An awards festival on paper and the industry's dealmaking week in practice. The expensive part is not the badge.
Santa Barbara
Invitation only, CMOs in the room with CEOs. MMA now goes by Marketing + Media Alliance, not Mobile Marketing Association.
Lisbon
The European POSSIBLE. Same organizer and same meeting-led format as Miami Beach.
